When Your Residence Changes
During the school year if your residence changes, you may use Versa Trans E-link or contact this office to find out the school district you live in. As our district is intermingled with the city in some areas, and some of the county schools are divided on the same road/highway, you might want to call before you purchase new house or property to make sure what school district is in that location.
Bus Stop Distance/Walk to School Distance
The distance between bus stops has changed for the 2005-2006 school year. The distance between bus stops will be 0.3 mile. The distance between bus stops may be up to 0.5 mile, if a turn-around can be eliminated. As always, SAFETY is our number one priority. If your child is required to walk more than the above listed criteria, please contact this office.
The walk to school distance will be 0.5 mile. This means that if you live within 0.5 mile of the school that your child attends, bus transportation will not be provided.
Bus Pick-Up/ Drop-Off Information
ALL ROUTES have been re-designed. Please remember that all time are APPROXIMATE. Students are asked to be at their assigned bus stop location at least FIVE minutes before the scheduled pick-up time. As a general rule, our drivers are able to complete their routes according to daily schedule. The bus pick-up/drop off times may be a few minutes earlier or later due to factors beyond the drivers' control, such as roadwork, traffic congestion, mechanical breakdowns, weather and etc. Please allow ample time before calling the Transportation Office.
Bus Discipline Information
The Transportation Department does NOT handle bus referrals. Any question regarding a referral should be addressed to the school administration. If you have questions or concerns with a bus driver you should contact this office.
